Solo
and Duo Shows
Belly dance experts
Zefirah and Sarah, push the pre-conceived boundaries of Middle Eastern
dance into new dimensions. Azah integrates a sense of drama, emotion,
texture, line, light and shade into their shows to deepen the audience's
experience of Belly dance.
Azah's array of unique props such as
head-balancing swords, canes, butterfly flag poi, veils, zills and stage
wings; along with their technical skills will shock, delight and capture
your guests within an exotic web of awe.
Azah can provide
many different styles: Traditional Egyptian, Tribal, Gothic, Contemporary, Fusion, Bollywood,
Gypsy or Cabaret. Azah delights in requests for audience participation and provides
extra hip scarves and veils (at no extra cost) for the audience to get
involved. The focus is on letting go of inhibitions and setting a happy
and relaxed tone to any event.
Fireworks traditional dance shows can be
complemented by the driving rhythms of live percussion from Africa,
Latin America and the Middle East.
Live percussion
professionals accompany our solo, duo and group acts to provide
an authentic cultural experience. The combination of ethnic
dance and its traditional music transports the audience into the culture
and mystique of these art forms. The deep rhythm of the drums awakens
the primal instincts within us all and the audience is drawn into the
music with bells, calls and chanting to create a positive hive of fun
and creativity.
Some of their instruments include: Djembe,
Dun Dun, Darabouka, Conga, Talking drum, Tambourines, Shakers.
The ancient art of Contortion confounds and amazes audiences, as it has
for a millennia. Beauty, flexibility and control collaborate to deliver
a hypnotic and awe inspiring performance.
Our contortionists can fit
seamlessly into different event themes and can also provide staging and
props for that special finishing touch. These twisted twins both hatched
from the famous Fruit Fly Circus and combine their contortion skills
with adagio and modern contemporary dance. Bec Cooen and Pippin Aitken have both performed
nationally and internationally for many years and work together in
perfect symmetry.
Since their entrance into Fireworks Dance the twisted twins have become
famous for their Chinese Candle Dance routine.

Sit back, relax and let our Henna tattooist transform your
body into a piece of art! Henna is completely safe and natural, and has been
used by many tribes and cultures for thousands of years.
The henna tattoo is
used in India by women as a means to enhance their natural beauty and
traditionally it was used to attract love and good fortune. This temporary tattoo doesn’t hurt because it's applied with
a special applicator. The tattoo design can last from 1- 4 weeks and turns a rich
reddish brown, until it fades completely leaving no permanent marking on the
skin.
Henna tattoos suit all types of
gatherings from weddings and birthdays to festivals and corporate events. The
tattoos are tailored to suit men, women and children with a range of designs
that can be applied to different parts of the body.
The ethereal quality of our aerial ballet is one
that remains lodged in the mind. It takes place high in the air where
our performers twist and contort themselves amongst a piece of suspended
“Aerial Tissue” fabric.
Climbs, spins, wraps and drops keep the audience
holding their breath through the show and they’re mesmerized by our
aerialist’s strength, balance and flexibility.
A steel ring can also be
suspended from the ceiling and acts like a picture frame that showcases
the aerialists athletic form as they balance and move gracefully within
its shape. The breath-taking moves and transitions make a strong
statement that can translate successfully to any event, theme, campaign,
meeting, tradeshow or television production.
